Planted
to mark the Millennium, Colt's Wood occupies a field on the St.
James / St. Cross road (where a hedgerow has also been replanted).
Route D offers
a detour through the wood who's species are exclusively native and
local - hornbeam, oak and ash. This has been designated a community
wood, accessible to all as are the Minster Wood and James Wood.
Some 3500 trees have been planted on the farm with nearly 7 acres
(2.75 hectares) in these plantations
