Visitor Centre, Cafe and Conference/Wedding Venue

Opened in May 2001, Bateman's Barn, not only provides delicious meals and refreshments for visitors and walkers, but is an exciting new venue for business meetings, conferences, weddings and private parties.

MEDIEVAL BUILDINGS

Sited in former stables, close to the farmhouse, the 16th century barn incorporates flint walls from earlier medieval buildings.

FACILITIES

Bateman's Barn can be booked for your wedding ceremony and/or reception, or for parties, for further education groups or as a conference facility. Our restaurant offers anything from light refreshments and snacks to full meals. We can open for parties or groups at other times by special arrangement.

OPENING TIMES

Bateman's Barn Restaurant, Cafe and Wildlife Walks
The walks are open everyday, the restaurant is open on Thursdays Fridays & Sundays from 10.00- 5.00pm between May and Sept . The lunch menu changes daily using produce from our own farm and garden or from other local producers and suppliers.
Breakfast or brunch is available on Sunday mornings, followed by delicious lunches, and then afternoon tea and homemade cakes.

RECYCLING

We now have bottle and can recycling banks on site. Come for a walk, have coffee, lunch or tea and do you bit for the planet.

WEDDINGS

EVENTS

 

From time to time we hold events.. such open air theatre, historical recreations, guided walks concerts and exhibitions keep an eye on the news and events page for details.

South Elmham Hall will be open for guided tours, at 2pm on Thursdays and on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays at 3pm from 1st May - 30th September 2007.
